Reason is a one of the most powerful music-making programs ever.
Reason is extremely easy to use, infinitely expandable, and seamlessly intergrates with other music and synth programs.
I use Reason to make the trip hop, downtempo, and house music on this site and it is a dream come true. Pretty cheap too.
If you haven't tried Reason v2.5, check it out -- it has a lot of new effects and a huge sample library.
Recycle, by Propellerhead Software
ReCycle is an awsome tool for sampled grooves. Recycle is great at slicing up samples to allow for extact beat match within Reason, LogicPro, and CuBase. A must for sample heavy music making.

reasonably ought to know that a controlled substance will be used or distributed."
